DELMARVA – As many people start packing their bags for holiday vacation, representatives from AAA say they’re encouraging travelers to be extra precautious before hitting the road.
AAA tells us last year, they assisted about 800,000 members nationwide, and that was with people traveling less due to the pandemic. With the recent estimate of about 100 million people taking to the roads again for the holidays, AAA says you might want to think about getting your car looked at.
They tell 47 ABC, it’s one less thing to worry about as they head back to pre-pandemic travel numbers and potentially beyond. Ragina Ali, Public and Government Affairs Manager for AAA says, “It’s very important just to make sure your tires are in good shape, your battery is in good shape before you take to those roads.” She adds, “So we are optimistic and we’re of course very much so paying attention to the pandemic and how that translates to what we see. We know that once the vaccine started rolling out, people were feeling safer about traveling and we expect that to continue into 2022.”
Ali also says as travel increases, it’s important to remember to be patient and keep yourself safe.
