Shawana Singletary has been named Adelphi University’s new assistant vice president and chief enrollment officer. In this role, she is responsible for driving international, undergraduate, and graduate admissions and enrollment.
Most recently serving as director of admissions and recruitment at Metropolitan College of New York, Singletary brings to Adelphi 14 years of experience as a leader in admissions, financial aid and marketing in higher education. She also has served in admissions roles in Manhattan School of Computer Technology, Berkeley College and DeVry College of New York.
At Metropolitan College of New York, Singletary successfully implemented innovative plans for the future success of the college by restructuring their admissions team and utilizing technology, strategic enrollment planning techniques, and data analysis – all during the challenge of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In 2015, Singletary earned her MBA from Keller Graduate School, and in 2008, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from City University of New York’s Medgar Evers College.
