Funeral services for the Troy woman who was fatally shot Thanksgiving Day will be private.
Leslie Reeves was a business owner and advocate for women when she died at the home of Chris Smith in Farmersville Nov. 25. She leaves behind three children.
According to the obituary posted by Barry Wilson Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Maryville, Reeves is survived by her mother, Lynette Grothe of Collinsville, her father, Richard Sphar of Franklin, Tennessee, a sister, brother-in-law, and niece among other family members.

The obituary states that memorials can be made in Leslie’s honor to St. John Neumann Catholic School in Maryville to assist in its education funding.
Chris Smith is still hospitalized with after being shot in the head in the same incident that took Reeves’ life.
Reeves’ ex-boyfriend, Robert “Bobby” J. Tarr is being held at the Montgomery County Jail on $3 million bond. He has been arraigned on three counts of first degree murder and one count of attempted first degree murder.
Tarr’s next court appearance is Thursday, Dec. 23. A preliminary hearing is scheduled, however, Tarr, who said he intended to seek his own counsel at his arraignment, does not have an attorney on file, the Montgomery County Circuit Clerk’s Office confirmed Friday.
A celebration of life for Reeves is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 8, at The Outlet at Edison’s Entertainment Complex in Edwardsville.
