JAMESTOWN — A man shot in the back during a suspected home invasion robbery Tuesday evening has been released from an Erie, Pa., hospital, Jamestown police said.
Investigators were still looking into the shooting incident, reported at about 7:55 p.m. inside a North Cowden Place residence in Jamestown.
A man said he had been struck in the back; the victim was taken by ambulance to UPMC Chautauqua and immediately airlifted to UPMC Hamot.
Capt. Robert Samuelson of the Jamestown Police Department confirmed Wednesday that the victim had been treated and released from the Erie hospital.
Police said the shooting may have occurred during a home invasion robbery. The suspects involved were believed to have fled the area in a sedan afterward.
No further word on the investigation was available Wednesday.
