Wallace “Wally” Robert Kulmack, 81, of Columbus, passed away Dec. 16 in Columbus.
He was born at home Mar. 21, 1940 to Wallace Joseph Kulmack and Anna (Krupa) Kulmack in Middletown, CT. On May 19, 1988 he married Lois F. Nichols.
As a child growing up with not a lot of toys, he kept himself occupied skipping rocks across the creek down from the house. After high school, Wally attended a trade school in Connecticut. He moved to Texas in 1984.
Wally worked as a machinist for many years at Best Swivel and BJ Titan assembling oilfield parts.
Wally loved collecting eagles, and he enjoyed going to old car shows. Listening to Banjo and Country music were one of his favorite things to do. Wally spent many hours with his best friend Ray talking about all kinds of things.
Wally is survived by his wife Lois F. Nichols; step-daughters Susan Guthmann and husband Tommy of Columbus and Brenda Pockat and husband Scott of Rogers, AR; son Keith Kulmack of South Glastonbury, CT; sisters Irene Hurier and husband John of Spring and Jane Brown and husband Robert of Spring; step-grand children Lauren Guthmann, Lesley Guthman, Mikayla Pockat and Kimberly Smith; grandson Michael Kulmack; four great children and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Wallace Kulmack and Anna Kulmack; sister Charlotte Bartosiak; son Richard Kulmack.
Visitation was Monday, Dec. 20 at Henneke Funeral Home in Columbus.
Funeral service was held on Monday, Dec. 20 at Henneke Funeral Home. Stan Warfield officiated.
Burial took place in Odd Fellows Rest Cemetery in Columbus.
Pallbearers were Tommy Guthmann, Travis Beck, Travis Melvin, Stan Priesmeyer, and John Hurier.
