Ronald “Ronnie” Charles Forbes, 52, of Charlotte, passed away April 12, 2022 at his home. He was born February 18, 1970 in Cleveland County, North Carolina, a son of Jack Forbes and the late Sandra Martin Forbes.
Ronnie graduated from East Rutherford High School in 1988 and attended Central Piedmont Community College studying web design. He worked with BP Petroleum as a quality engineer, had a great sense of humor and enjoyed time spent with his family.
He is survived by his parents, Jack and Sharon Forbes of Kings Mountain; sisters Tanya Forbes Crabtree and husband Paul of Angleton, TX, Lauren Rivenbark and husband Jonathan of Shelby; aunts Maryann Forbes-Blackwell and Joyce Short-Forbes; uncle Sammy Martin and wife Janice; nephews Dillion Gettys and Grayson Rivenbark; niece Addy Rivenbark; great nephews Colton and Corbyn Gettys; great niece Callie Gettys; cousins Joey (Rhonda) Forbes, Peyton (Janie) Doty, Mickey (Renda) Doty, Jeannie (Cotton) Weatherford Randall, Jimmy (Sheila) Weatherford, Holly Martin.
In addition to his mother, Ronnie was preceded in death by two uncles Robert Forbes and Rev. Joe Forbes; aunt Susan Weatherford Smith; cousin Keith Forbes.
A private service celebrating Ronnie’s life will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of donor’s choice.
