The Hurricanes have been one of the best teams in hockey all season long. They are in first place in the Metropolitan Division with a record of 39-12-5 and are tied with the Panthers for the top spot in the Eastern Conference. Carolina is 7-1-2 in its last 10 games.
On the other hand, the Flyers have underperformed for the majority of the season. Philadelphia went on a franchise-worse 13-game losing streak in the middle of the season, which came after the team had a 10-game losing streak earlier in the fall. The club is 18-29-10 and are well out of contention for the postseason.

Travis Konecny has the most assists with 24 while Giroux is second on the team in points with 40. The captain will likely be moved by the NHL trade deadline as he will be a free agent after the season.
